Cornwall, is renowned for having some of the most
beautiful, diverse scenery in the British Isles
Its magnificent coastline, which runs from Plymouth on the South Coast, around the Lizard to Lands End
and then up along the North Coast to Bude, features everything from Estuaries and Inlets,
Sandy Beaches and secluded Bays,
dramatic Rocky Headlands and Peninsulas, quaint sleepy fishing villages,
as well as the busier tourist towns and attractions.
Not to mention the abundant wildlife that swims, flies and walks around these shores.

Lizard Peninsula

The Cornish Peninsula covers an area of 1,730 square miles, of which, more than 25% is designated an area of
"Outstanding Natural Beauty"

The coastline stretches for just over 300 miles, with 167 beautiful beaches.....
Much of the coastline is owned and protected by the National Trust, including numerous protected "wildlife habitats" which have considerable importance in protecting specific species from extinction, such as the Cornish Chough.....

The North Coast of Cornwall is the more dramatic of the coastlines, with its rugged rocky landscape,
large waves and the busier tourist towns and villages.....
The South Coast has a softer landscape and features tidal estuaries and
quaint sleepy fishing villages.....

The inland regions of Cornwall, tend to feature either the desolate landscape of the mining areas
or the bleak and lonely moorland areas of Bodmin Moor.....
Despite its bleakness, Bodmin Moor is classified as an area of "Outstanding Natural Beauty" .....
Its highest point is Brown Willy at 420 m (1378 ft), also the highest point in Cornwall.....
There is of course the tales of the
"Beast of Bodmin", a black panther like creature believed to inhabit the Moor!
a day out not to be missed!....
